Dear Lori and Lloyd
Here are two photos of the wedding cake which you are partially responsible for! If you hadn¹t been able to get me those cake pans so fast with no warning, I would have had to think of something more square... Not what I had in mind. (As it was I had enough challenges: driving from NYC to bake this cake with two days to get it done; using a kitchen and stove I was unfamiliar with (which turned out to be somewhat unreliable so I had to remake the 9’ cakes) and then after completion I had to transport it from Barrington to Hyde Park (which was accomplished in a computer monitor box with foam padding.) But all turned out spectacularly well, thanks to you guys! These images show the cake just after completion, and then at the reception site (Promontory Point.) I think it looked gorgeous (and tasted really good too.)
Thanks again for being there and going the extra mile for me. You

guys are GREAT.

Hi Lori!
Thought I would drop you a line and a photo to say that I am still using my cake skills. Here is this year's decorated pan of brownies for Laurel's party. Had to put it together quickly but I was pleased with the outcome. Didn't want to mess around with lots of colors of icing so I did a moonlight scene.

Fondant Cake: The Lego people were because we couldn't find a bride and groom at short notice -- and because Drew (my 3 year old son) was invited to the wedding, too.
...Well as you see I have started my cake-decorating class. This stuff ROCKS. Our teacher is great. I could totally quit being a computer nerd and make cakes all day.

On this cake I used for the first time the "silicone impression mat" that I purchased at Cakewalk Chicago, plus many more ingredients. I was impressed with the nice, friendly customer service, now on I know where to shop for my

Lori -
Attached is a picture of some Christmas cookies I made this weekend. I also made some plain round cookies with just white fondant for the kids to decorate. They loved it. I made some cookies at Halloween time as well, which if I can find will send you the photos. My boyfriend took a turn decorating some of the Halloween cookies and an secret talent came out!
Hope you are well.
