How to Schedule a Cakewalk Chicago Class
Classes and demos may be scheduled at any time, except Sundays. To schedule a class decide with your group 2 possible dates, check for room availability then clear date with instructor. (Reserve the room when necessary after clearing date with instructor.) It is usually best to schedule weekday class(es) from 6:30-8:30 p.m. to allow time for students to return home from work before arriving at class.
Student Minimum
Please note the minimum number of students required to hold each class is 4.
Class Host
Class host is responsible for reserving class location, promoting class, and providing students with class information and registration form. (Reproducible registration form and class information forms are available from Cakewalk Chicago) Class information lists details of class date, time, location, cost etc. Whenever possible class information flyer should be posted to interest more potential students. With the paid registration of 5 students the Class Host will receive a free gift valued up to $20.00. Organize a class with 7 or more paid students and the Class Host takes the class for free.
Student Registration
Class fees and student registration forms must be received by Cakewalk Chicago. for the minimum number of students at least 2 weeks prior to scheduled class start date. Payment for the minimum number of students will confirm class date and time. Additional students are welcome and must provide a cash payment in full the night of class. If class is cancelled because class minimum is not met then any student having paid will receive a refund for the total class amount.
Classroom
The class host should provide a room that will accommodate 4 or more students.
The class area (which may include a kitchen, conference room, classroom, dining room etc.) must have table space and a chair for each student. A room with a sink is even nicer. A trash can and paper towels are helpful.
Class Offerings
The enclosed information sheet(s) will let you know what classes are offered and subjects covered. Additional class offerings can be seen at www.cakewalkchicago.com. This information may be used to promote classes.
Promoting Classes
Host must complete the class flyer with class dates, times, and specific locations for each class.
Payment is required with class registration. Registration is refundable only up to 2 weeks before class date. Register early, classes can fill quickly. 5 student minimum.
