Thanksgiving 2022

Some of you may know that I lost my mom unexpectedly last October. The importance of connecting with family if you can weighs heavily on me right now so I’ve decided to do the completely anti capitalistic thing and close the shop on Thanksgiving Day, Black Friday and Small Business Saturday so that my family and I can travel 7 hours to be with those dearest to us and not stress about rushing back.

Will this decision be hard on the bank account? Absolutely!

Will the store need strategic support from patrons to shop with us when the store reopens on November 30th? Hell yeah!

Will this probably become our annual tradition. Yep. 😀

This is what shopping with small family businesses means. Sometimes we must take a break from the expectations of how to do business and care for ourselves even when it means a loss of income. I’ve been watching #8DollarCEO crash and burn #44Billion and I decided that I’m gonna do business the wrong way too - but for all the right reasons.
